Explanation:
Du point de vue de l'église catholique, le territoire était/est divisé, dans l'ordre, en:
- diocèses,
- doyennés,
- secteurs paroissiaux,
- paroisses.
La Pieve étant l'église paroissiale, je pense que paroisse convient bien (vu qu'il s'agit de la dernière étape de la division)
