Credo che "ad altre trovate" debba essere in realtà "se si trascurano boccali ... e altre trovate ...".
Si parla di un giorno particolare in cui tradizionalmente si bevono boccali di birra verde? Il senso sarebbe: quella giornata non ha più alcun significato particolare, se non il fatto che si usa bere birra verde e fare altre altre amenità che gli irlandesi non apprezzano.
