"diventa quasi un unsuccesso, una situazione umiliante, dato che lui si considera una persona divertente".
Исходя из этого:
1 - "принимаю почти за унижение/чувствую себя почти униженным"
либо

neutral  Assiolo: Здесь "оскорбление" не совсем то, если следовать этой линии, лучше "обида": меня, можно сказать, обижает/я чувствую себя чуть ли не обиженным.
