Asker: Думаю, здесь все-таки не обычное понятие "справедливости", а какое-то юридическое. Во многих ссылках говорится об arbitrato secondo diritto в противоположность arbitrato secondo equita', вот здесь, например: http://www.studiorebecca.it/relazVenezia.pdf Предполагаю, что это скорее "третейское право", но не уверена.

Asker: Arbitro equo - ведь не просто "справедливый судья" (а остальные, надо полагать, несправедливые?), а, скорее всего, "третейский судья". Я хотела проверить это свое предположение.
