Japanese to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general)
Japanese term or phrase:消化分
Hi everyone,
I am translating a document where the words 消化分 and 契約分 are used in relation to a contractor whose contract had been cancelled halfway through the provision of a service due to external circumstances, and is now billing the client for the expenses incurred thus far in work on the project that has been cancelled. With regard to the amount that is being billed, two 見積もり are mentioned: one for 消化分 and one for 契約分. Would it be correct to assume that the former is an estimate of expenses incurred thus far, while the latter is the full contract amount?
Thank you for any suggestions and let me know should you need more context.
