Japanese term or phrase: 硫酸等揮発分
This is from a material safety data sheet. The material is a composite foil which includes graphite, sulfuric acid and polyethylene.
In the chemical/common names section, 硫酸等揮発分 is given for sulfuric acid, with the formula as H2SO4.

I presume this indicates that the foil gives off vapor of (mainly) sulfuric acid as the volatile component/content/portion. However, I'm not sure whether 等 is 'equivalent' or 'etc' - (perhaps indicating that the vapor is not purely sulfuric acid) - or how best to express the whole:
Sulfuric acid [etc] as volatile component ?
Volatalized sulfuric acid?

(There is no other mention of 揮発/分 in the document.)

Notes to answerer
Asker: Not sure about the generic-example pattern. The data in the table relates specifically to sulfuric acid, so I think 'sulfuric acid (and other volatile compounds)' might be better.
