This is more of a usage question than a translation question. Someone today told me that トラシュー means "troubleshooting". I was wondering, is this shortened word actually in common use among Japanese speakers? Or is it something that has limited use.

Explanation:
I could easily guess that トラシュー means trouble shooting.
But as far as I know it's not common use.

Definitely we have to avoid such usage.

Some one could misunderstand a sort of シュークリーム
