I think this is referring to a bath tub curve (of failure rate). After a infant failure period (when the failure rate is high) the failure rate is stable at about 0.04%. (It is clear to me if the failure rate is the same thing as the warranty claim rate here.) もの is certainly products, whatever they are. 経過をしている 時間 is the amount of time elapsed since the date of manufacture. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 34 mins (2007-11-07 03:24:10 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Sorry, I means it is NOT clear to me if failure rate = warranty claim rate.
