Japanese to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general)
Japanese term or phrase: 売上本数
I know this can be translated as "sales volume" but I need to differentiate 販売本数 and 売上本数...
which can both be translated as "sales volume" Anyone have any good ideas?

Thank you!

neutral  Raitei: In order to use "pieces," you need to know exactly what has been sold. English is not Japanese just as Legos and not Tinkertoys.

Units sold

Explanation:
My inclination is that this may be the difference between them:

販売本数: Units for sale (units available for sale)
売上本数: Units sold

agree  izziS: 販売本数という言葉からcountable productの事を指しているようなので、units soldがいいと思います。
