Japanese to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Business/Commerce (general) / metal wire manufacturing
Japanese term or phrase:納期注文引当／紐切り
This is in a list of possible operations, functions in a production management system.
I am particularly curious about the 紐切り part - does it mean completed, or that the order (which was confirmed before) was cancelled (contract broken)?
I think it is probably allocation/deallocation, meaning that the produced items are allocated to a specific order *such as batch 3456 will go to Customer 123), and they can be deallocated (ooops, we won't ship batch 3456 to Customer 123 after all).
