Japanese term or phrase: Sakura
There is a Beanie Babie exclusive to Japan and it's name is Sakura. This is suppose to be Japanese and i would like to know what it means. Suppose to have something to do with a flower. Thank you/
Cathy
English translation:Cherry tree blossom
Explanation:
Cathy: The word "sakura" in Japanese refers to a very common and much beloved type of cherry tree in Japan and its profusion of pink blossoms in the Spring. It is a very fitting name for a Japanese Beanie Baby, as the blossoms of the sakura cherry tree are perhaps the most beloved of all flowers in this nation of flower lovers. Hope this is
useful to you. Haslov

Cherry tree blossom

Explanation:
It is also used as a girl's name. As in the Capcom character Sakura in street fighter. So if you need to assign a gender to the beanie baby, my guess would be female.

Flowering cherry would be my first choice

Explanation:
There's a famous stand next to Washington DC's tidal basin. (The trees were attacked by beavers last winter.)

Sakura is the name of, for example, Kuruma Torajiro's beloved younger sister (played by Baisho Chieko).

There are, however, other Sakuras: the city in Chiba Prefecture (different characters) and horsemeat, for starters.
