Japanese to English translations [Non-PRO]
Japanese term or phrase: 〜させて頂きます。
例えば、お掃除をさせて頂きました。とか、
先日、東京に行かせて頂きました。或いは、
車の運転をさせて頂きました。
等と言うときの「〜させて頂きました」と言うのはどういう風に訳せばいいのでしょうか。
宜しくお願い致します。

1. 相手の許可がないとき、このように訳せばいいと思います。
I took the liberty of sweeping your room. I took the liberty of going to Tokyo.
I took the liberty of driving the car.

2.現在の場合は、please allow me to... というふうに訳せばいいとおもいます。
お掃除をさせて頂きます=Please allow me to sweep your room. etc.
