Japanese to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering
Japanese term or phrase: 上長
上長の選択などDBを絡めた仕様― relating to computer screen design
Pierre Drion
English translation:redundancy
Explanation:
上長

上長の選択などDBを絡めた仕様・relating to computer screen design

the above characters are most probably mistaken (by the computer while writing the text)
I suggest :
冗長
which means here: redundancy, redundant etc.

Thank you for your prompt answer. Though still I'm not sure if that is a spelling mistake or actually meaning "superior' but the quick response was greatly appreciated.

one's elder, one's superior officer, boss

Explanation:
If the 'kanji' for 'joucho'
is indeed '上長', then the meaning of that word as it is in the dictionary would be as above. However, I do not know if the word has any specific meaning when used in the field of computer screen design.
I doubt that it does, becasuse it is a very old fashioned Japanese word.
