Better to die than to be dishonored Explanation: Note that your LATIN IS INCORRECT. The first word is POTIUS (not "potium", which does not exist in Latin). There also exists an alternate form of the citation: Malo mori quam foedari ("I prefer to die than to be dishonored"). Both are of late Medieval origin. |
