communication of the Creed Explanation: Luke, See my other answer to you about "redditio symboli." This term is the first step of the Baptismal preparation of old when the catechumen was given a summary of the Creed to begin learning it. This process was made complete by the redditio symboli when the newly baptized would personally and publically profess the Creed before the entire Congregation. If this is being studied in a course, it may well be in St Augustine who speaks extensively about the matter.
