personalitatis iuridicae

English translation: gen. w/ expers

14:59 Jul 30, 2007
Latin to English translations [PRO]
Religion / Papal Decree
Latin term or phrase: personalitatis iuridicae
The context is: "Iuxta responsionem Pontificiae Codici Iuris Canonici authentice interpretando diei 25 Aprilis 1987, christifidelium coetus, personalitatis iuridicae, immo et recognitionis de qua in can. 299 § 3 expers, legitimationem qua coetus non habet..."

Though the whole of this is as clear as mud, I can decipher it save for the grammatical relation of 'personalitatis iuridicae' to the rest of the clause.

Explanation:
... which would make it parallel to recognitionis

Does that work?

Yes, it does, although it is difficult to render the verbose and convoluted Latinity of the Vatican into decent English. Thank you very much, Jim.
