Lithuanian to English translations [PRO]
Lithuanian term or phrase: Pour las Poteluinas sumiss tevy: Karoliuns w Katarinos Ri... Kartes-Poteluinis,q
Pour las Poteluinas sumiss tevy: Karoliuns w Katarinos Ri... Kartes-Poteluinis,qime Sermenis kivose 18 Sausia 1854 (Tukstantis as tuoni sim toi penkiosdesimt ket virtai sivismetais)

This is part of an offical document we have been given that belonged to old relatives(we think it may be Lithuanian as thaty is where the relatives came from) but parts of it also look Finnish.

Can anyone help translating this or at leasttell us what language it's in and what it's roughly about

English translation:Please see the below.
Explanation:
Yes, it is Lithuanian.
As far as I can decipher it, the text means:
"Povilas Poteliunas, whose parents are Karolis and Katarina Rykantaite-Poteliunine, was born in Sermeniskes on January 18, 1854 (One thousand eight hundred fifty fourth year)."
I'm not quite sure if the names sound right. If you can send me directly a scanned piece of text, I could be more helpful. (nimi@ai5944.spb.edu )
