Norwegian to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering harbour tunnel
Prosessen omfatter utsetting/utmåling fra foreliggende fastmerker/polygonpunkter av hoejder.
This is in a contract for dredging, etc.
Anyone know what these are in English, please?

Is 'fastpunkt' meant to be the same as 'fastmerkerne', or different do you think?

I følge Høgskolen i Bergen sitt nettsted er de små og nesten usynlige sorte trekantene på kartet fastmerker, som også kan kalles polygonpunkter eller trigonometriske punkter.

polygon punkter are traverse points or trigonometrical points, as you may already know

fastmerker kalles i Word Finder grade state / survey control station. Du finner survey control station er brukt endel i UK.

bench marks

Control points intended primarily for vertical measurement (elevations/leveling) are called bench marks (US benchmark), while those intended primarily for horizontal control are triangulation stations.
