basis for calculation
Explanation:
Tilrettelegges av, sounds like the scribe may have overstepped. "beregningene skal tilrettelegges av XXXXX sitt beregningsunderlag" - No beregningsunderlag I have ever seen takes an active role in adapting or personalising computations.
All in all, a strong case for returning to the customer with a query of 'can I have this in plain English, please?'

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you for confirming my suspicions as I had actually written this, but I was a bit thrown off as my dictionary translates 'beregningsgrunnlag' as 'basis for calculation', but from what I can ascertain from other sources it means the same thing. And, yes, 'plain English' would make life a bit easier :)
