Bus/Financial - Finance (general) / aksjeselskap
Norwegian term or phrase: aksjeselskap
Har en overskrift som lyder slik: Selvangivelse for aksjeselskap my 2010

Tax return for corporation/limited companies/joint-stock company?
Hva bør jeg velge? Har lett litt rundt på nettet og her inne og det ser ut til at det mest brukervennlige er corporation. Selskapet har base i Amerika, så en UK oversttelse holder ikke.
Noen med erfaring på området?

stock corporation
Explanation:
According to my norsk-engelsk juridisk ordbok (Ronald L. Craig) 'company limited by shares' is the more precise translation for the UK and 'stock corporation' for the USA.

Explanation:
I believe to find the most appropriate term would depend on the nature of the company in question. "Engelsk økonomisk blå ordbok" (Skaug og Aagenæs, 2010) offers several alternatives. The general term is, as Michele and Dawn have said, corporation/stock corporation (US English). It also offers "privately held corporation" or "closed corporation" (hvis man snakker om tilsvarende AS/privat aksjeselskap med få eiere).
In addition it offers "publicly held corporation" or "closely held corporation" (med få eiere) and "widely held corporation" (med mange eiere - hvis man snakker om tilsvarende ASA - allmennaksjeselskap)
