By written agreement, ordinary working hours may be arranged so that on an average over a period not exceeding one year, the working hours are as long as prescribed by section 46, but do not exceed 48 hours in any one week. Daily working hours must not exceed nine hours. (Section 47 (1) of the Working Environment Act)
