pull back and filling of Explanation: The way to make fluid pass through a three-way tap connector is by inserting a syringe into the end perpindicular to the desired flow direction. One pulls back on the syringe to draw fluid in, then turns the tap and pushes the syringe in order to make the fluid go through the other end. This technique amongst other is commonly used when one wants to draw a substance from a container and inject it into a patient in stages as eg. a contrast agent for an angiography procedure.
