Norwegian to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Construction / Civil Engineering / hospital building
Norwegian term or phrase: nedføringen
Hospital building erected on top of an old concrete wartime German hospital, the concrete from which which was permitted for use as the base. Sentence: Det er kryprom under bygningne, noe som kompliserer *nedføringen* av horisontallaster fra skjevstilling og vind.
I'm sure I've come across this term to mean destroy in the context of blasting ready for construction, rather than 'lead down from antennae' which seems to be the popular dictionary choice. Confirmation that this makes sense here would be appreciated, as would be correction if I'm wrong.

the propagation (of forces)

The original is kinda vague here, but I think this has to do with support structures propagating the forces the the ground /a fixed point/level. Generally, "nedføring" would be some vertical (downwards) cable run, however I interpret the context here to be abou the propagation of forces.

Ammmm, pls read "... propagating the forces to the ground..."

Also "about", of course... :)

Sorry, Helen, after reading it again, I can see that it is definitely not "load" here. I would like to change my answer to "vertical pull"
