Norwegian to English translations [PRO] Law/Patents
Norwegian term or phrase:kulanse
what is the correct translation of "kulanse" - I've scoured my databases with no success? It's related to insurance and contract law. Thanks
Explanation: the interpretation:
a company's willingness to oblige visavi a customer/customers, based on a mixture of goodwill calculation and a sense of moral obligation, in most cases rather the former than the latter.
I remember one case where thousands of cars were destroyed by hail in Bavaria and the Allianz insursance company paid damages of more than 2 billion marks even if they were not forced to do it according to the insurance legislation - labeling it Kulanz(=kulance=fair dealing)
