Var på hvalfangst 39-40. Kom til London 1. sept. 1940. Gikk inn i britiske Marinen 28. sept. Ble sendt til Dundee den 3. okt, ombord på minesveiperen HMS Gadfly. Flyttet over til den norske marine 12-3-42. Sendt ombord minesveiper KNM Børtind. Overført til U-båten KNM Ula, hvor jeg ble til krigens slutt.

I was out whaling in 1939-40. Came to London September 1st 1940. Joined the British Navy September 28th. Was sent to Dundee October 3rd on board the minesweeper HMS Gadfly. Transferred to the Norwegian Navy March 12th 1942. Sent on board the minesweeper KNM Børtind. Transferred to the submarine KNM Ula where I stayed until the end of the War.
