adequate remuneration
As the WordWeb dictionary says under "remuneration":
The act of paying for goods or services or to recompense for losses
"adequate remuneration for his work"
"Odpowiednie wynagrodzenie" means exactly the same.

One more thing to confirm the above:
PWN Polish dictionary says about “wynagrodzenie”:
«zapłata za pracę, pensja; odszkodowanie za stratę»
Thus, in Polish it can mean both some sort of payment for work but it can also be a form of compensation for some harm, loss, damage, etc. Exactly as in the case of remuneration. HTH.
