shop / building

Trudne pytanie bo najczęściej uzywane są te dwa terminy w kontekscie "manufacturing plant"

assembly shop
machine shop
welding shop

Pojawia się także "building" jak tutaj:

".... several of the historic buildings as part of the Longbridge heritage, such as (...) and a section of Car Assembly Building (CAB) 1.

"... two derelict buildings at the former MG Rover car factory site in Longbridge – CAB 1 and CAB 2 – will begin to be demolished from Monday 13 January 2020"

production room/hall

IMO, hala/hall or room is a three-dimensional space, i.e., an enclosure; the production floor is the two-dimensional surface upon which the machines stand and the production activity takes place.

Hall has a nuance of a large space with tall ceilings. Room can be large or small.

Machine parts manufacturing warehouse. Production department with industrial tools. Industrial units in production shop. Spacious production room with finished products

Clean production room. Manufacture of industrial electronics. Shop assembly of electronic components.

Wine factory, production room, warehouse, shelving, shelves with boxes, empty wine bottles in the package.

Asker: Czyli the accident took place in the production room (nawet jeśli ten room ma powiedzmy 1000 m2)?

Asker: Interestingly, none of the examples indicate the use of "hall". And sure, rooms can be large, but we're talking about the reality of daily conversations between real-world natives.

Asker: The first fifty or so results are from Polish websites or .com sites with German-sounding names, so I'm not really convinced. Though this MIGHT be due to Google's geolocation-based searching.
