Please write in English since I do not speak Polish. I think that this term has been rendered incorrectly in the English version of the text, which I have to translate into French. It should read: "Designation of _____ gas" (it's a gas used in welding operations).

Depending on welding method, you can have an inert or active gas there, but shielding gas seems the most general.

The Polish version should read: "oznaczenie GAZU osłonowego".
