Polish term or phrase: lęg
Dokument dotyczy produkcji karpia, ale są problemy, bo na terenie stawów gniazdują ptaki chronione, i np. przy wykaszaniu zarośli ich gniazda są w niebezpieczeństwie.

Pytam o termin "lęg", bo nie udało mi się znaleźć określenia spełniającego warunki definicji podanej mi przez znajomego ornitologa, cytuję: "lęg to gniazdo z zawartością", czyli mogą to być jaja, albo wyklute już pisklęta.
A 'brood' to raczej wyklute pisklęta (?).

Z tłumaczonego dokumentu:
(...) Dylemat nie polega na tym co poświęcić - narybek czy lęgi ptaków, lecz w jaki sposób
podczas koszenia uniknąć lub zminimalizować straty w lęgach ptaków.

(...) Skutki przerwania grobli byłyby katastrofalne nie tylko dla gospodarstwa z powodu straty ryb, ale również dla lęgów gniazdujących wtedy ptaków, gdyż większość z nich wskutek wycieku wody ze stawu porzuca gniazda, co jest wynikiem reakcji antydrapieżniczej.
