Polish to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial
Polish term or phrase:Zrodla finansowania dzialalnosci przedsiebiorstwa.
Explanation: I deliberately used the word "enterprise" to alert the English reader to the fact that what we may be "financing" (really, it means the same as "providing finance") is a Polish state-owned enterprise (thus, not necessarily a company) or a utility ("przedsiebiorstwo komunalne"). Also, in another classic meaning, "przedsiebiorstwo" is defined in Art. 55 of the Polish Civil Code. Consequently, in Polish, "spolka prowadzi przedsiebiorstwo" and we may be talking of "financing" such "przedsiebiorstwo" rather than the whole "company".
Explanation: I agree with Jacek that "przedsiębiorstwo" may men enterprise, but the number of state owned enterprises (SOEs) is rather limited. As far as utilities are concerned, over 95% of them are at present companies operating in accord with the Trade Code (this I know from being an advisor in the energy sector), so the chance we might be talking about a SOE is rather slim. Maybe the best option is just plain "business"?
