Ja napisałam to bazując na własnym doświadczeniu, gdyż w tekście sprawdzanym kiedyś przez native speakera (inżyniera), właśnie takie sformułowanie się pojawiło. Ja miałam wcześniej "Purpose and scope of applications".
Tu mi się akurat wydaje, że "intended use" to jest coś czym można zastąpić mój 'purpose" ("purpose" i 'intention" to w słownikach synonimy). Można by ewentualnie spróbować z "Intended Use and Applications" tak jak tutaj: http://www.npi-lube.com/intend.htm

W każdym razie dziękuję Rafałowi, choć też się zdziwiłam, że taki hojny od razu. ;)
