seamed sheet Explanation: The old method of roofing with metal sheets was to have the flat metal plates joined together by bending their edges together so that A SEAM was formed. Advent of modern corrugated and shape metal sheets sent the method to oblivion. In case of old roofs that are covered with seamed metal sheets, the subsidences are rare, since these roofs do not carry significant loads.
