Portuguese term or phrase: Vaso eletroeletrônico modular
Anyone with technical/patent background willing to help?

The full sentence is Vaso Eletroeletrônico Modular com sistema automatizado de controles e monitoramento Digital, utilizado para o aero cultivo de plantas em ambientes internos e externos.

Basically it is an aeroponic plant growing system in the shape of a tall vase composed of standardized units that can be used to grow plants, flowers and herbs both indoors and outdoors, more like a combination between an aeroponic tower garden (https://www.towergarden.com/tg) and an aerogarden from Miracle-Gro (https://www.aerogarden.com/aerogardens.html).

Although I found the term eletro-electronics here on ProZ, I am not sure if it is used at all. Wouldn´t it be translated to just electronic?
In Brazil the term eletroeletrônica is the junction of the words elétrica and eletrônica.

The closest I came up with was "Modular (electro-)electronic vase with automated control and digital monitoring system used for aeroponic plant cultivation indoors and outdoors", but "modular electronic vase" doesn't make any sense to me.

Thanks all in advance :)

modular electronic vase

Explanation:
I have no background on the fields you are looking for help, Naomi, but...

I googled some of the words you mentioned, but the only thing I found was the very patent of the product you are working on. In Brazil the word "eletroeletrônica" has become very common since a few years ago, but I couldn't find anything like that searching on the web. The closest thing you can find is a store called Electro Electronics...

Since it's a new patent, the way I see it, you could call it as you guys like(as long as there is some hint of common sense to it, of course...), and maybe to you it doesn't sound so nice, but for the person that is going to read it for the first time, it will sound as okay as it's possible as far as technical words go.

If you're having trouble with it, try stepping away from it for some time, sleep on it. Sometimes a word, or an expression becomes like a complex for the translator, and when you look at it with fresh eyes later, you no longer see what was bugging you before.

I hope I could be of some help, but sure, let's wait for someone with real experience on this field.

Asker: Thanks for helping. The client - who happens to be a very close friend of mine - ended up sending me a document that was translated by the PCT (see note added to my question), and although I don't like the translation they came up with, I guess I will have to go with it, since it is the approved version of the title of this invention.

Another suggestion, if it refers to the vessel where the fluid flows.

Its not "vase" whatasoever. But we can't argue with the client, so go for it.

Asker: :)

Asker: Yes, the word in this case refers to the chamber where the fluid flows. That is why I have a problem using vase.

Explanation:
Or "electronic modular planters" which sounds a bit naff.

Asker: Thank you for helping out. I like planter instead of vase, and definitely would used indoors and outdoors, but like I explained the client sent me a document that was translated and approved by the WIPO/PCT with "that" as the official name of his invention is. Unfortunately I will have to use it.
