Prezados Colegas,

Meu primeiro pensamento foi traduzir a expressão como Old Leadearship ou Old Leaders and their current representatives (não estou inspirada neste momento).

Desde já agradeço-lhes a valiosíssima ajuda!!

Abraço cordial,
Irene B

(local) oligarchical or neo-oligarchical (leaderships)
Explanation:

"Coronelismo (Portuguese pronunciation: [koɾoneˈlismu]) was the Brazilian political machine during the Old Republic (1889-1930), also known as the "rule of the coronels (sic)", responsible for the centralization of the political power in the hands of a locally dominant oligarch, known as a coronel, who would dispense favors in return for loyalty."

"Oligarchy (from Greek ὀλιγαρχία (oligarkhía); from ὀλίγος (olígos), meaning 'few', and ἄρχω (arkho), meaning 'to rule or to command') is a form of power structure in which power rests with a small number of people. These people may be distinguished by nobility, wealth, family ties, education or corporate, religious or military control."
