invitation letter

To send an invitation letter to specialized services requesting their participation on a study

pode ser "invitation letter" ou "inviting letter", ou ainda "letter of invitation".
Eu particularmente, prefiro a última.

Boa sorte!

letter of invitation

Seria melhor simplificar a sentença toda e dizer:

To invite ( by mayl, by e-mail, by fax, by telephone) specialized service companies to participate in a study.

No entanto carta-convite = letter of invitation

7 hrs
invitation to tender

there could be sort of a competitive bidding or solicitation of prices involved here - hard to tell from the context.

a letter inviting etc.

"a letter inviting specialist departments to participate in a study"
it is a letter of invitation per se but in the context it is better translated as above. Otherwise, you have to make the text longer: A letter of invitation to the specialist or specialized departments requesting that they participate" Right?
