fiscal note, fiscal remark, fiscal letter, etc. Explanation: Usually, they mean a remark or something written in invoice or factura-proforma, etc. which allows to fiscal organizations to trace the payment. Another version is about a letter written by a fiscal organization to a person or entity (this sounds also as "uma nota fiscal"). The whole invoice cannot be a fiscal note, obviously. Nota fiscal is INVOICE in English. It can also be WAYBILL depending on tht situation. Explanation: There is no word in English enquivalent to Nota Fiscal in Portuguese. Recently I did a translation for an American company in Brazil where people speaks both languages, and we decided to use Invoice for Nota Fiscal, even for Nota Fiscal-Fatura (another Brazilian word). Waybill means a paper prepared by a common carrier at the start of the shipment that detais the route the goods will follow to their final destination and states the transportation cost. Invoice means a bill prepared by the seller of goods or services adn submitted to the purchaser. The invoice lists all items bought, together with amounts owed.
