Portuguese term or phrase: estou aí parao que der e vier
A dear friend if mine has sent me this phrase. I think that he sent it in Potuguese because I love the music of a Portugueses musical band called "Madredeus" and I told him I love the music of the language. I tried all sorts of e-dictionaries and translation tools but got results that looked like gibrish. He's been urging me to translate it for quite a while now, so I think that this has to be important. I'll appreciate your help very much. From the way he speaks of it I think it's a line out of a poem or a song, but he won't give me any real hints. We often write each other in poetry, so it make sense.

English translation:come hell or high water
Explanation:
COME HELL OR HIGH WATER is mostly used in England - o termo "venha o inferno ou inundação", é a expressão que traduz perfeitamente "para o que der e vier".

What I liked most about your translation is the fact that it passes the strength of emotion my friend was probably trying to convey to me. Thanks a lot!
Hagar.
