Portuguese to English translations [PRO] Art/Literary
Portuguese term or phrase:APAREMOS
(lugar) está passando por uma FAXINA TECNOLÓGICO que, em breve, deverá acontecer em todo o país. Os moradores do (Lugar) estão trocando as suas 700 geladeiras por APAREMOS que poluem menos que os modelos vendidos atualmente no mercado
This word obviously means 'apparatus' or similar, but how come it doesn't appear in dictionaries???!!!
Explanation: I hope this doesn't sound pedantic, but if you say 'they are swapping their fridges for appliances which...', this may sound a tad ambiguous. May I suggest 'models' as an alternative, as this makes it clear that we are still talking about fridges?
