Both answers were fine, as they confirmed the meaning for me. I'll probably just use 'training course' because 'vocational training' - although perfectly correct -smacks of school-leavers too much. 2 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer
Explanation: this would be more idiomatic in English than "professional training course" because of the skill level and educational level required. If you don't like vocational, choose "occupational" but it's not as widely accepted.
According to the International Labor Organization, for which I once worked as a translator, formacao profissional is translated as "vocational training."
