He is obviously a "partner" (sócio), but not a "silent" partner. He is also a "manager" - "managing director" ; therefore to make it short he is a "maniging partner". The alternative would be the not-so-used: "executive partner". In some cases (depend on the kind of business), one could called him an "associate".
