Portuguese to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Construction / Civil Engineering / Cement
Portuguese term or phrase: cnologia
In a general report about the cement business in Brazil. The word is not in any dictionary. Aurélio helpfully tells me that the prefix cnem(é)- means foot, but what this has to do with cement is beyond me - and I guess the word would then be "cnemologia" and not "cnologia". Could it be a typo? Any help would be welcomed.

The phrase reads:

A cnologia, que é amplamente difundida no mundo, desenvolveu-se fortemente até o início dos anos 80, se estabilizando nas últimas duas décadas.
A instalação das fábricas depende da proximidade das jazidas de calcário. As características da indústria de cimento estimulam ainda associações e aquisições entre empresas do setor. No entanto, em determinados países, a consolidação de mercado é limitada por questões concorrenciais.
