Que coisa. Eu havia encontrado "write-off" em meus dicionários, mas por algum motivo, achei que não seria esse o sentido. Estava entendendo como um cancelamento ou um resgate, como tb sugeriu o Handler. Mas pelo site exemplificado, ficou claro. Obrigada a todos.

Acredito que seja mais adequado usar "redemption", nesse contexto, pois os depósitos não são cancelados, mas baixados e resgatados.
