Nunca ouvi falar que toillete fosse um armário em português. No Brasil se usa a plavra toillete -que vem do francês-, para banheiros em restaurantes e lugares públicos, porque se acha mais gentil dizer "vou ao toillet" ao invés de dizer "vou ao banheiro". Porque está subentendido -fazer a toilette- colocar perfume, maquiagem, ao invés de dizer que vai fazer necessidades fisiológicas.

Asker: Oi, Thais. Eu também achava que "toillet" também só se referisse ao banheiro, como em "fazer a toillet". Mas, recentemente, alguns fabricantes de móveis chics, para classe A, estão chamando estes armários de banheiros daquele nome. É só por causa do nome chic, elegante.
