If normal working days don't include saturdays contractually, I think its a badly worded contract (in favour of the employer!) - might try researching the relevant code or just asking them (they may have 'cut and paste' from another contract, and made a mistake ???
In the UK, if you have to work additional hours whenever the employer wants, don't get paid an increased hourly rate but get hours off on another day, its referred to as 'time off in lieu of payment' I think.
Thanks Emiliano for the useful feedback. In other words, any overtime hours worked during the week will be subtracted from Saturday's scheduled hours? Is that the idea? It's a bit confusing, since another clause in the contract says that work hours will be from Monday to Friday only. Maybe the Portuguese contract is poorly worded...

Explanation: The normal working week in Brazil is 44 hours - 8 hours per day from Mon to Fri, and 4 hours on Saturday.
The article mentioned, reproduced below, says that extra work (more than 8 hours) on one day can be compensated for by working less on another day. If this agreement is in place, the work in excess of 8 hours on a given day does not have to be paid at a higher rate (overtime).
(The Brazilian Constitution decrees that overtime must be paid at a rate 50% higher than normal hours!)
The agreement above says that work exceeding 8 hours will not be paid at overtime rate as it will be compensated for on Saturdays. I.e. the employee will work less hours on Saturday to compensate for the extra hours worked on a day between Monday and Friday.
