This is translating a driver license from Espirito Santo, Brazil. There are two dates on the license; one is *primera habilitação*, the second, nearly a year later, is *emissão*. I don't know enough about the licensing process in Brazil to figure this one out. A friend told me there's some sort of trial period, but I just need to be sure how to translate it so American authorities will understand and accept it.
