Portuguese term or phrase: tenente general; Ministério de Negócios Estrangeiros
This is for Continental Portuguese. For the second, is it the Ministery of Foreign Affairs? I have no idea how to translate the first, a military term

Lieutenant General / Ministry of Foreign Trade

Explanation:
In the U.S. Army, the rank of lieutenant general (three-star general) is very close to the top of the hierarchy of seniority, second only to general (with no qualifiers, four stars) and General of the Army (five stars). And, on this side of the Pond, "lieutenant" is pronounced "lyoo-TENN'nt."

Lieutenant General / Minister of Foreign Affairs

Explanation:
This is a pretty strange question, for we don't use "Tenente General" in Portuguese. The proper term is "Brigadeiro". The second one is literally the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Jaime Gama). In the UK he would be the head of the Foreign Office (Robin Cook). In the US he would be the Secretay of State (Madeline Albright).
