> see below < Explanation: A motor used in heating and/or cooling systems would most likely be producing a fair amount of energy in the form of heat, which would be dissipated most efficiently through the use of cooling fins (for a common example, envision the engine of a high-powered motorcycle such as a Harley-Davidson, in which the cooling fins not only serve a practical purpose, but are also employed as a distinctive aesthetic element). A climate-control motor might well be enclosed in a screen-type housing, but in this case I'd expect the purpose of the housing to be to protect personnel from the motor's moving parts. Alternatively (and this interpretation is also supported by "ecra~"), it would also make sense for the motor in your context to be electrically shielded. -- Best, HC |
