I found both ans helpful for orientation and finally have decided on 'plant growth model' as best fitting in. The prob with plantation is that its first meaning/connotation in English is that of a place, not of a process. It's unfortunate that points can't be distributed between ans, as invariably, more than one ans turns out to be useful. Thanks to both.
