La palabra no aparece en el Diccionario de Portugués que tengo (Editorial Porto; y es bueno). Sin embargo, aparecen unas acepciones que le pueden ayudar. "Bambar" es otra forma del verbo "Bambear" el cual significa "hacer bambo" (es decir blando), aflojar. También tiene una forma intransitiva "bambalear" que significa agitarse, oscilar.
