sauteed

Just an idea... this means "fried quickly in a little fat"

http://www.answers.com/topic/saut

(The original does say *uşor* călite, after all, and I know "sauteed" is frequently used with vegetables). I can't remember if there should be an acute accent on the first "e" for the past participle - plenty of sites seem not to bother, so it should be fine without.

e.g.

"Quinoa stuffed avocado with sauteed mushrooms

by Phil Vickery
from Ready Steady Cook"
http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/quinoastuffedavoc...

"CARROTS WITH SAUTEED ONIONS

1 bunch carrots
1 sm. onion, diced
butter

Boil or steam cleaned and sliced carrots. Saute diced onion in butter. Pour over cooked carrots."
http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1950,147183-226193,00.html

But if you really don't like it, maybe "lightly fried".

disagree Sorina C : "Stir-frying" e un mod de a gati, "to sauté" = a cali

agree Dagmar Lacatus : "stir- fry" este o metoda traditionala chinezeasca de a cali legumele, dar nu inseamna ca nu se poate folosi.
